LowCountry Ladies- Our Story

LowCountry Ladies origin actually started in Atlanta. Before I moved to Charleston, I worked in Atlanta and realized that it was very difficult to meet and make new friends with other women. With busy personal and professional lives it just wasn’t a priority, (and it wasn’t easy).

There was a huge gap between meeting people from work, and then making friends in my personal life with other women. So…. I decided to do something about it and launched Chicks In Atlanta that day. Over the next five years C.I.A became a vibrate and sought after community founded by women for women. It started with a small monthly gathering of women in the Atlanta area and then growing to a large 5,000 plus member community online and through our monthly socials/events. Nothing made me happier to see women making life long friends at our events. (Many are still friends today).

After leaving the hustle of the Atlanta life for the lowcountry, I wanted to create the same supportive community, fostering long term friendships, through social events and our online connections. Charleston women are full of Southern charm, style, sass and fun, and this is the place to grow our community.
